Patriotism isn’t just about loving my country—it’s about contributing to its future.
My journey to this point has shaped my perspective on service, resilience, and the opportunities available here in the United States. As someone who came to this country as a refugee, I’ve experienced firsthand the value of hard work and determination, and I believe attending a military academy is one of the best ways to give back while building a meaningful future.
When I immigrated to the U.S. in 2013 with my mom and sister, I had no friends and didn’t know a word of English. But I refused to let that stop me. Over the years, I’ve not only learned English but also mastered Mandarin and Spanish. My ability to adapt and persevere has taught me that with focus and effort, anything is possible. That’s why I’ve worked hard in school, maintaining a 3.97 GPA, and why I spend so much time training—whether it’s weightlifting four days a week or practicing jiu-jitsu three days a week. Discipline and balance are part of who I am.
My motto is simple: “Learn, work, learn, work more.” It’s guided me as I’ve pushed through challenges and discovered my own potential. My dream is to join the U.S. Army, continue my education in the medical field, and build a life where I can give back while achieving personal success.
For me, a military academy isn’t just a school—it’s a place where I can combine my skills and ambition with my desire to serve. It’s about honoring the opportunities I’ve been given and stepping up to be a leader for the country that’s given me so much. This is my way of turning my patriotism into action and building a future I can be proud of.
